Bus Wraps & Awareness Towards Drinking And Driving
Drinking and driving is one of the most serious subjects that can be learned about at a young age. The dangers associated with this are hard to deny, especially with so many incidents being seen because of this. Does this necessarily mean that everyone is aware of said dangers? This is where awareness should be seen - either through bus wraps or what have you - and it seems like a new billboard design has been created in order to drive awareness towards this hot topic.
A report was posted on CN Weekly and it talked about a billboard that was designed in order to drive the attention of individuals towards drunk driving. A 17-year-old high student from New York by the name of Victoria Barone created the billboard in question. What took me by surprise, though, was the way that this was executed. As anyone who creates bus wraps will be able to tell you, implementation is crucial when it comes to the out-of-home advertising process and this is no different.
The article said that the billboard was designed with the word "intoxicated" showcased, the term "toxic" being highlighted within the aforementioned term. While this seems like a simple idea, on the surface, it does not matter if the message itself is effective and it seems like this has been the case. It's also worth noting that another student, of the same campus, by the name of Tabitha McGill created another message. The vehicle wrap featured the message, "your life is greater than that text."
As companies such as JMR Graphics will be able to tell you, concepts like these are effective when it comes to driving attention. Noble causes like drunk driving awareness are ones that require the help that only items like billboard and vinyl bus wraps are able to give. Out-of-home advertising possesses a strong level of importance and I believe that this is one of the greatest ways to garner attention. I can only hope that it is utilized more often as time goes on.
When it comes to messages that have the strongest of impacts, drinking and driving is tough to overlook. There should be more attention brought to it and, fortunately, there are various items that can help to make this a reality. Certain items along the lines of bus wraps and billboards are tremendous for this purpose. Not only are they able to catch the attention of the general public easier but, when constructed well, their potential is a difficult point to estimate.
