This is basically a person who is picked by a company based on his ability to handle matters public to represent the company. They are persons hired or contracted by an organization to deal with all public issues. They talk what the management wants them to talk. They only speak when need arises to do so. They state issues affecting the company and explain to the public how they intend to solve such matters or issues. Automotive spokesperson is hired based on their skill, experience and qualifications.

Today the world has become very media sensitive and many companies and also some organizations are currently increasingly employing professionals. A professional spokesperson should have at least received some formal training in the sector of journalism, public affairs, communications and also public relations.

They take public related courses so that they can be at a position to handle public affairs. They are the people who generally make company announcements, request for a pressing briefing and address the press. They speech usually represents the views of the company management. A representative of a company should never speak his or her own words but what the company has agreed the public to hear.

They require this public related programs or courses so that one can have basic knowledge on how to handle this challenging task of public affairs. The public is the biggest critic and so spokesperson should be well aware of that. They should control the information they give out to public to prevent wrong information falling into the wrong hands.

There are many factors of consider when selecting a communication channel. Some of such factors include, availability of the channel, the following the channel has, the cost of using that channel, number of time that channel will air your announcements and lastly a channel that suits your company.

In research firms, many big collaborations of scientist select one or even two people or leaders of that collaboration to represent their views. For automotive representatives, the person selected promises to protect the firm confidential information and only give information that the company or management wants given to public.

Choose an appropriate channel that is known to optimize the impact of only favorable messages while bringing down the possible impact of any message that is unfavorable. There are generally several factors a company should look at when selecting a channel to communicate with their customers or public at large.

Many companies today are opting to employee the most qualified spokespeople to do their work for them. The most preferred or the ideal people for such a job are celebrities. The celebrity can be a local celebrity or national celebrity especially those sport stars. Some of the famous sports stars who do this kind of work include Bob Uecker and not forgetting Michael Jordan. These are among the many sport stars chosen by various companies to market the company brand.
