An Article On Immigration Canada

By Donna Snyder

By definition, this is the process through which an individual permanently changes their place of residence from one nation to another. It is an issue which has been on debate for a long time. Statistically, there has been a considerable increase in people who migrate into Canada, a situation which has captured the attention of many. In relation to this, the following is an article on immigration Canada.

One of the many advantages brought about by immigrants is the fact that they help generate revenue for the host country. This is so in that through their various skills, they are in a position to be a part of job market. This aids them earn a living while at the same time contributing to economic growth via their taxes.

Another most obvious benefit is the contribution to cultural diversity. This is making the world grow smaller by the day as people intermingle. Diversity is beautiful as through interaction, individuals are in a better position to learn new things that they did not know before. Another result of this diversity of culture is intermarriages, which contribute to unity among individuals of different ethnical backgrounds.

To add on to the above, most immigrants into Canada are at most times in search of a better life. Some of these persons are usually from very poor countries hence looking for a chance to make it in life. The illiterate are also given a chance to go back to school and attain certain certifications that will help them later on in life.

The provision of cheap labor is also another main advantage. Most immigrants into Canada are usually more willing to take up any kind of jobs unlike the local population. These jobs are usually of low pay but these aliens often take them up regardless. This leads to an overall growth in the work force.

There are, however, a set of disadvantages which can be linked to immigration. For starters, despite them providing a reliable work force, language barrier can come at a huge cost to the employer. Most of these immigrants usually have very heavy accents or suffer the complete lack of knowledge of the English language. This means that they cannot be relied upon to perform in jobs such as working at the front desk.

Another drawback associated with the influx of immigrants in Canada is the putting of pressure to the available resources. This usually is as a result of the increase in population which puts a lot of demand on resources such as land and water. This is why the Canadian government works very hard to make sure that this issue is always under control.

Finally, it can be clearly drawn from the above that despite there being a couple of associated disadvantages, the merits are more. Many persons, who are mostly from the developing countries, usually apply for Canadian visas with each new day in a bid to seek better lives. Most of these persons end up living better lives than they did before. This often comes as an advantage, both for them and for their host country.
