Kids On Target For Perfect Attendance In Dodge Dart Promo

By Cornelius Nunev

While it might be true that if you miss school, you skip out, a Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram Victorville, California, wants young motorists to know that they may skip a lot more. According to reports, Victorville Motors 90 miles northeast of Los Angeles has a plan known as It's a Gasoline to Go to Class, a $75,000 annual charitable give-away that infuses $1 million to the local school system. Not only has the program boosted sales, but it rewards pupils with ideal work - as well as their schools - with valuable prizes that include two brand new 2013 Dodge Dart automobiles that are obtained via auction. Considering that attendance is a factor in California's state financing of schools, this car dealership plan is understandably a big deal.

Dodge Dart giveaway prompts perfect work explosion

Apparently, the It's a Fuel to Go to Class plan has been very effective. Not only has Victorville Motors seen a massive increase in the number of vehicles sold in the last 18 months due to the plan, it has also seen a massive increase in ideal attendance at participating schools. The schools have also seen a massive increase in academic performance and overall work.

"I had no idea how successful it would be," said 47-year-old Victorville Motors dealer principal Tim Watts.

A business that prides itself for its community involvement, Victorville Motors has raised funds and backed events for numerous local organizations. When a local parent asked if the dealership had considered giving away a vehicle, a light bulb went off in Watts' mind.

"It wasn't just about us. We wanted to do it as a multi-layered approach and an outreach that includes other local businesses," said Watts.

Not just good for business

About 15 to 20 children in the schools had perfect work for the Dodge Dart promotion as started at Victorville Motors. The plan involved six school districts and 12 high schools currently. There are now a few hundred children with perfect work since the plan was initiated. Victorville Motors has also seen a rise in sales. In 2012, it sold 850 brand new vehicles and 756 used automobiles.

Pupils are motivated towards ideal attendance with supplemental prizes such as gift cards. Pupils who maintain a perfect work record will be able to participate in the Dodge Dart raffle with golden tickets they are given. The winner's parents will usually get the car if the winner is under 18 since minors are not permitted to win automobiles in the state of California. This is how the raffle works, and it has certainly been effective.
